> Cool. Is there are a time frame for actually putting up documentation ?

The CVS is being put together by Dan Barlow. The time frame really
depends upon when he gets a chance to finish it up (Dan? Any idea?)
Once that's done, we'll have a system in place for generating docs from
the SGML within a day. We can set it up so that the generation script
will run whenever we want -- when new stuff is committed to the CVS,
once per hour, once per week...whatever you want.

Any preferences?

I've also been thinking about the whole licensing thing, and discussing
it with a few people off list. I think that defining a "class" of
licenses is actually quite simple: so long as a license allows the
documentation to be freely reformatted and redistributed, documentation
released under that license is appropriate for inclusion in the OSWG
documentation set. If people want others to be able to pick up and
modify their docs, that's up to the individual author, and can be
reflected by the license s/he chooses. If the author would rather
maintain personal control over the content, that's valid, and should be
respected.

What do you think? By no means should be above paragraph be considered
a final decision, of course...I just want to get this licensing thing
settled. I would really like to discuss this and for us to come to a
basic agreement over what constitutes a "free" documentation license.

Thoughts?
