*Job Title:* Sr Windows QA Tester *Location:* San Francisco, CA *Duration:* 3-6 Months *Minimum Requirements:* * * - Have experience with the validation of vendor provided solutions for monitoring and management that are not developed by internal development *Example:* All Hardware Event IDs generated by HW errors should match vendor documentation. - Have hardware expertise in Wintel platform and storage with regards to configuration and Troubleshooting *Example:* Create/Rebuild RAID Volumes, Generate known HW events such as Fan failure. - Be able to escalate and manage exceptions with the HW vendors - Be able to triage, capture, and collect relevant info to escalate to engineering without requiring multiple round-trips - Capable of verifying HW/OS stability across driver/firmware revisions *Example:* Drivers crashing/leaking under load - Be able to recognize when to escalate to engineering for risk analysis when critical updates are identified *Example:* a critical update to a RAID controller for data integrity should be escalate vs a PXE network boot issue - Familiar with basic testing tools and windows performance counters *Example:* IOMeter, SQLIOStress, Load Runner, etc... - Have familiarity with Windows Server administration *Example:* Can create IIS Application Pool in IIS. - Can leverage off the shelf tools for automation and trending - Have in-depth understanding of hardware/storage technologies and constraints in order to test limits *Example:* Knows how to do break point testing for technologies such as RAID/PCI bus/Network/etc. - SQL 2005 server experience and can perform basic queries and use profiler - Experience in software quality engineering in a commercial complex, client/server distributed systems software product environment - Have prior experience with regulator compliance such as ISO, FDA * Thanks & Regards, Ramesh Babu.M*
