PeopleSoft Payroll Team Lead

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Duration:6 months

 Overview:

We need project manager with payroll exp is a must.

The PeopleSoft Payroll Team Lead (TL) will have Min. 5 yrs. PeopleSoft
Payroll hands-on v8.9+ implementation & support experience with deep
configuration experience plus knowledge of configuration issues between
Payroll / HR / Benefits / Time & Labor. Payroll Process re-engineering &
payroll operations experience.

The ideal candidate is expected to have a thorough experience and
understanding with Payroll BATCH jobs, scheduling, in a consolidated
environment as well as a Leadership skills in a very a large
organization. Experience with ESPX scheduler is a definite PLUS.

The client environment is a large telecommunications organization
undergoing a consolidation of numerous PeopleSoft HR \ Payroll instances
resulting from mergers and acquisitions.  The final platform will be a
single PeopleSoft 8.9, Oracle, Linux environment. 

The successful candidate will perform primary responsibilities
personally or through matrixed supervisors, contractors,
sub-contractors, consultants and other project personnel. He/she must
demonstrative a successful track record supervising internal and
external teams.

 Daily Responsibilities: 

*       Thorough involvement in Payroll Batch job Schedule in a
consolidate environment. 
*       Lead and monitor Project schedule and plan for Batch schedules. 
*       Lead and monitor Batch Job conversion from Autosys to ESPX
scheduler. 
*       Monitoring, reporting and advisement on development and
computing environment change control processes 
*       Advise on production support requirements, procedures, and
approaches for all environments and support organizations 
*       Review and recommend production control and monitoring tools,
processes, procedures and benchmarks 
*       Provide quality assurance practices 
*       Advise on use of tools used during the development cycle to gain
efficiencies or higher levels of quality for the team 

 Qualifications:

*       Bachelor's degree from an accredited university 
*       5+ years functional experience with PeopleSoft NA Payroll 
*       2 Full Lifecycle Peoplesoft NA Payroll Implementation Experience

*       1 Full Lifecycle Peoplesoft NA Payroll Upgrade Experience 
*       Thorough understanding and experience with Payroll Batch Jobs
schedule. 
*       Experience with Autosys, and ESPX scheduler is highly desirable.

*       Strong skills in  project planning, execution strategy, issue
escalation, and project communications 
*       PeopleSoft Development experience is a definite PLUS. 
*       Experience planning production support and change control
procedures for Peoplesoft 
*       Demonstrates the ability to status multi-phased, large team,
decentralized team activities 
*       Demonstrates high-level of written and oral communication in the
English language 

 Preferred:

*       Experience managing patches, fixes and upgrades in a production
environment for PeopleSoft HCM 
*       2+ years experience with application servers 
*       1-3 years experience with Oracle databases and Linux 
*       Exhibits knowledge of SDLC Methodology (Rational, RUP or Other) 
*       Demonstrates excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills 
*       Demonstrates poise, confidence and professional maturity to
interface with senior-level executives in a clear and concise manner 
*       Exhibits the ability and tenacity to resolve open issues 
*       Efficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access,
Project, Visio) 
*       Fortune 500 or Telecom Experience 
*       Experience managing in political environments and ability to
interact with executives as well as individual contributors. 
*       Direct management experience of teams of 10+ or more 
*       Prior technical or management consulting experience 

PeopleSoft Payroll Implementation experience

Must Have: 2-5 yrs

Experience with PeopleTools development and integration tools

Nice To Have: 1-2 yrs

Experience with Autosys and ESPX

Must Have: 2-5 yrs

Thorough understanding and experience with Payroll Batch Job schedules

Telecommunications Industry Experience

Prior Management or Consulting Experience

Experience Managing Teams of 25+ in a Production PeopleSoft Environment

Must Have: 2-5 yrs

PeopleSoft Development Experience

Must Have: 2-5 yrs

PeopleSoft Upgrade Experience

Must Have: 1-2 yrs

Experience managing patches, fixes and upgrades in a production
PeopleSoft HCM environment

Must Have: 2-5 yrs

Experience working with and managing application servers

Must Have: 1-2 yrs

Experience managing in an Oracle \ Linux environment

Nice To Have: 1-2 yrs

Experience planning production support and operations procedures for
PeopleSoft
