Duration: 3-6 months Please send resumes to shiv.pra...@icynergit.com *** MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS ***** *ALSO MUST HAVE HANDS ON EXP WITH DB2 CONTENT MANAGER.* *Description * 1) Senior database administrator of DB2 UDB running in multiple AIX environments. 2) Will take a participant or lead role in determining the architecture of all databases across the enterprise. 3) Cross training of other team members in database functions. 4) Will develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures including but not limited to the following: Installing patches, upgrades & fix packs, Performing backups & restores, Performance tuning and configuration management, Ensure the security and integrity of the databases, Administration / creation of logical views & table definitions, Maintaining databases and replication, Stored procedures 5) No travel restrictions 6) In depth knowledge of DB2 Content Manager define the sequence of steps necessary to install a document management system document management and content manager interoperability DM services managed by the service manager Designer commands Attributes Object configuration, Etc. *Responsibilities will include supporting the following* 1) Systems upgrades & fix packs 2) Data administration 3) Database design 4) Database system administration (Runstat, Reorg, IC, Unload, etc) 5) Disaster recovery 6) Production & Non-production creation (physical and logical) 7) Storage management and backup 8) Performance monitoring and tuning 9) Application production support and application development teams 10) Optimization of SQL calls 11) Develop and implement stored procedures *Requirements * 1) Minimum of 5 years experience 2) Installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining DB2 on AIX (multiple versions – 8 & 9) 3) Installing, configuring, upgrading and maintaining DB2 content manager. 4) In-depth knowledge and experience with the following Library server, Resource manager, Client authentication, configuration and usage Document analysis, modeling, routing and storage 5) Tuning and security 6) Scripting 7) Creating / supporting high availability databases, HACMP 8) 24x7x365 support of production and non-production environments 9) Content manager 10) Good knowledge of database design fundamentals and distributed database concepts 11) Good organizational, written and oral communications skills 12) Extensive experience working directly with customers to define their requirements coupled with the ability to translate these requirements into clearly defined technical requirements. *Desired Skills* 1) MVS 2) ZOS 3) JCL 4) DB2 v8 5) QMF 6) Crystal Reports 7) Oracle 8) Erwin Tivoli storage manager 9) WebSphere portal, process, application server Looking forward to hear from you.
