We have an immediate opening for Support Analyst. Location: Stamford, CT Duration: 6 months plus Rate: Up to $350/day Title: Support Analyst Skills: Role in Equities IT, in L1/L2 capacity. Support and maintain suite of client facing technology applications, including FIX routing and order management systems, in the production environment. The role will face off with business users, traders, clients, vendors, other support teams, product managers and developers. Individuals must be self-starting, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be customer-service oriented. Excellent listening skills are essential. Candidate will have excellent technical and business skills. The individual will be highly committed: reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy are essential to ensure a courteous and efficient service is provided with tact and patience. The ability to manage a tense situation is a must. Required Skills - - Experience in FIX protocol and electronic order routing - Experience with order management systems, ie. Charles River, Eze Castle, FlexTrade, Instinet, ITG, LatentZero, LineData, Portware, RediPlus, SunGard, Thomson, etc. - Excellent analytic + problem solving skills - Experience with programming , ie. java, C++, html/XML, C #. Perl. - Experience with UNIX, Solaris, Linux, Windows XP operating systems - Experience with Sybase and Oracle DB - ie. ability to construct and execute queries across multiple tables and DBs. - Experience with internetworking and electronic trading connectivity. - Understanding of the Equities market and trading. Prefer candidates with NASD registrations ie.
