This person must be a green card, EAD, or US Citizen. The manager is *NOT *looking for just a websphere administrator but someone who can act more like an architect/engineer but does not necessary have to be an architect. Anyone with JBOSS or WASv 7 is a huge plus. Primary Responsibilities: Expert-level knowledge of WebSphere, including configuration, tuning, and problem determination/isolation/resolution in an enterprise scale environment Provide expertise in infrastructure and web tier operations and overall middle tier distributed systems Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhanced system reliability, availability, serviceability, and salability Work with teammates, clients, and other teams to identify and address systems problems Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications Provide in depth consultation to application teams on eBusiness applications Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices, and metrics Qualifications: Required: 2+ years WebSphere experience as a subject matter expert 2+ years Unix Experience (AIX preferred) 1+ year systems development experience. (i.e. shell scripting, automation tooling) Experienced troubleshooting skills with the ability to drive issues to resolution Experience working with a team and in a group setting Ability to communicate and interact effectively with customers Availability for occasional off-hours and weekend work Assets: Knowledge of J2EE or JBOSS Experience with the following technologies, especially integrated with WebSphere: Vignette, LDAP, IBM HTTP Server, CA Siteminder Experience with web-layer technologies running on x86 Linux or zLinux Please call me if you have any questions.
