Phone screen followed by In-person interview Need two professional references from recent projects Title : Java/Spring/RIA Development Engineer Location : Chicago IL Duration : 6+ months contract Java/Spring/RIA Development Engineer Job Description: · Design and implement a middleware layer utilizing java, BlazeDS, and Spring. · Work with subject matter experts and backend engineers to develop APIs for use by RIA applications. · Ensure support for the required level of scalability, reliability and performance through design and testing. · Participate in the full development cycle through QA. · Supporting system test, QA, and production troubleshooting. · Show product ownership and strong interpersonal skills. Background / Experience Required: · Practical experience using Adobe BlazeDS and/or Spring application platform. · 5+ years building applications in a java / J2EE environment · 2+ year of C++ application experience · Experience building scalable systems, understand load balancing, fault tolerance, and clustering · Firm understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) along with practical development experience with web service technologies (SOAP, XML, WSDL, HTML, etc.). · Apache Tomcat · Worked with cross-functional teams as well as experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle. · Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills.
