Location: **Cupertino**, CA**.* Duration: 18 months. *Rate: Open (F2F interview)* Feedback on candidates within 24 hrs from submittal. *Urgent Need:* *Integration QA Engineer* Mac OS X Server team is seeking a Software Test Engineer to qualify Mac OS X Server, the industrial strength server operating system. This position requires an independent and organized individual with a technical background in server software. The person should be a self-motivated individual who works well independently and with the team. The candidate needs to be able to isolate problems quickly, communicate technical issues effectively, run test cases, perform ad-hoc testing, write and/or modify test plans and test matrices, write and/or modify shell scripts, configure test suites that represent real world scenarios, write and modify bug reports, and assist developers in problem isolation using various debugging tools such as gdb for debugging processes and kernel panics, using Malloc debug for memory leaks, and a network sniffer. *Required Experience:* * BS in CS or related field. * 3-5 years experience in Software QA testing network software and/or servers (preferably both). * MUST have extensive understanding of networking protocols such as AFP, SMB, NFS, Portable Home Directories, Calendar (CalDAV), HTTP, Proxy Server, iChat Server (jabber) * Strong knowledge of UNIX, Windows and/or Mac OS with the emphasis on UNIX. * Extensive understanding of networking, problem isolation, writing test plans or test matrices, SQA testing methodologies, and debugging. * Experience debugging processes in gdb and attaching remotely to a machine that is kernel panicked.
