Title: Sr. Unix/*Linux* *Admin* Rate: *Open* Duration: *6 Months* Location: *Mountain View, CA.* Will work closely with database, Oracle EBS, Storage, and datacenter teams to provide an enterprise class server infrastructure that meets project and operational requirements. This position will set infrastructure standards which will include right sized hardware, operating system configuration, high availability, and server virtualization offerings. This position will architect solutions that leverage automation and manageability, and evangelize these server best practice architectures. * Perform routine operations work in order to maintain the current infrastructure, and be available for problem escalations. * candidates must be self-motivated and able to define, plan and implement long term goals and tasks in support of Client's enterprise and Information Services departmental strategies and charter. Excellent problem solving, multitasking, troubleshooting skills and attention to detail are required for to work in this challenging and dynamic environment. Requirements * BS in computer Management of Information Systems, or Computer Science with a minimum of 6-8 years of system administration experience with all aspects of Oracle Enterprise Linux Installation/Patch application/Upgrades, RHEL * Linux* administration platforms. * Competency in OS system architecture standards, storage provisioning and installation including strong understanding of system performance tuning and troubleshooting. * In depth knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Linux and Redhat *Linux* , EMC Storage Foundation and managing systems within SOX compliance enviornments. * System management automation using shell and/or Perl scripting. * In Depth knowledge of networking concepts and server deployments on UNIX and *Linux* platforms, understanding of SAN storage, and EBS high availability is a must.*Certification is a plus.
