*Job Description:*

*The **Senior Oracle Projects Analyst** has overall responsibility for
client’s Oracle EBS Projects implementation. * *Primary responsibilities
include managing the functional operations of the **Oracle Project
Applications Suite**, specializing in the **Project Costing, Project Billing
and Project Management modules**. *



This is a hands-on functional position, technical knowledge is a plus.

The main responsibilities are to:

(a) Work with business users to identify opportunities for improvement in
the Projects area, lead the functional implementation/enhancement of Oracle
Projects modules and monitor and document post-implementation problems and
revision requests.

(b) Ensure processes efficiently leverage Oracle system capabilities.

(c) Support end users needs.



*Responsibilities:*

*New Development/Project Management:*

·                  Consult with end-users to analyze and understand user
needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements.

·                  Develop and document business requirements and processes
in support of all implementations.

·                  Translate business requirements into system
configurations.  Design appropriate system solutions. Understand what
functionality is available as well as what has already been
implemented.  Understand
the impact a process change might have on the system and be able to guide
process definitions accordingly.

·                  Create functional documents (Business Requirements,
Solution Design, Map and Gap Analysis, etc).

·                  Conduct solution review audits and control architecture
and quality.  Develop and execute system test plans.  Conduct and document
rigorous quality assurance testing processes for all production
deliverables.

·                  Aid in the customization and extension of Oracle when
appropriate.

*Reporting & Queries:*

·                  *Proficient in Oracle Projects data model*.

·                  Work with users and development team to identify needs,
build and modify reports/queries.

*Operational Management:*

·                  Test and validate patches/upgrades/new processes.

·                  Write user documentation for new applications. Develop
training materials and deliver training to new users. Guide users in the
implementation of business processes

·                  Provide both functional Level Two support for Oracle
Projects Modules. Provide end-user instruction and support to resolve
application issues.  Responsible for escalation procedures while retaining
ownership of the issues. Manage Service Requests with Oracle Support.

*Human Resource Management:*

·                  Work with/manage work from onshore and offshore
contractors.

*Relationship Management:*

·                  Responsible for developing good working relationships and
two-way communication with Corporate and Field business personnel.



*Position Requirements:*

*Education & Certification:*

·                  University degree in the field of computer science or
information systems and *8+ years related work experience*.

·                  *Certifications in Oracle, Project Management Institute,
Six Sigma preferred*.

*Knowledge and Experience:*

·                  *8+ years minimum direct experience with Oracle Projects
modules, including both implementation and operations management*.

·                  In depth functional knowledge of Oracle Projects.  Including
but not limited to:

o        *Project Billing*: Billing configuration, Agreement types and
templates, Project and task funding, Revenue calculation base on percent
complete, invoice generation, revenue budgets.

o        *Project Costing*: Cost budgets, expenditure batches, labor and
non-labor resource rates, burdening, transaction controls.

o        *Project Management*

·                  Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build
Oracle-based solutions.

·                  Proven track record of excellent quality assurance and
data integrity.

·                  Construction or Supply Chain Industry experiences a plus.

·                  Experience with *Oracle PL/SQL*, experience in creating
ad-hoc programs to troubleshoot and break-fix.

·                  Experience in *Oracle Projects extensions*

·                  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project,
Visio, Microsoft SharePoint, SQL.

·                  Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
skills.
·                  Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and
user-friendly language.
