*Title: Project Manager with financial banking background* *Location: NYC,NY* *Duration: 6months* *Min 10+years* *Candidates from NY,NJ,PA,CT,MA,DE,DC and NC will be considered. * * Key Responsibilities: *The position reports into the IT Business Partner Delivery Team manager and is responsible for the following: Plan, manage and execute the front-to-back delivery of complex global IT project initiatives. Drive, Monitor, Control & Report on detailed Planning, Design, and Execution across different projects and releases. Manage project financials, including proactively aligning client demand with IT supplier capacity to maximize the value of the client's IT spend. Active IT representation and escalation point for owned projects in various change management, status and governance forums Ensure compliance to SOX and our client's methodology requirements (CSP+, CMMI, ITPV) Develop or re-use common or our client's methodologies, policies, standards, processes, tools, metrics. *Experience and Skills Required/Desired: *10+ years of proven, successful real-world project management experience delivering systems in the Finance/Banking sector Trained in IT project management and SDLC concepts (PMP certification and CMMI background) as well as good technical and business background/skills Must be able to define strategic direction, then execute on it and drive to final implementation Strong communicator with excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills - able to interface with senior IT and CFO business leaders. Organized with a strong focus on controls, process, metrics and transparency Ability to balance control responsibilities with the need to deliver pragmatically Ability to drive change and excel in a challenging environment requiring frequent course adjustment and re-prioritization where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success Team player fostering a collaborative and cooperative approach to software development.
