Title: Sql Server DBA Location: Foster City Duration : 6 Months Provide database support within the Global Engineering in database related project support, 3rd level support, script DB utilities / processes, and implementation planning. Primary provide MS SQL/Server DB support; prefer experience with UDB and/or Oracle. Skills: Net, Vmware, SQL, Written communication, SQL Server 2005, Oracle, UDB, UNIX. Experience with Enterprise ticketing systems like BMC Remedy, Newscale Experience with documenting and/or maintaining standard operating procedures. Prefer additional experience in other DBMS like UDB and/or Oracle. Collaborate with DB Engineering in Requirements gathering for new and existing projects releases. Primary project assignment will be related the support of MS SQL/Server databases 7+ years of MS SQL Server DBA Experience; 2+ years with DB client/server development tools and techniques. Support multiple projects and applications. Experienced with DB performance monitor, DB recover, and DB change management.
