Application Migration Analyst Location: NYC
Duration: 6 months contract Rate: 40 per hour 1. Perform activities involved in and leading to the migration of client server/web applications to new data centers 2. Build application migration plans and coordinate technology resources to ensure migration readiness and success 3. Work with application owners to develop, maintain and ensure the successful execution of application test scripts and test plans 4. analyze existing migration documentation and translate to an execution plan 5. Facilitate documentation of migration artifacts and data entry into a knowledge repository 6. Provide input regarding application migration strategy, including rollback procedures and risk mitigation solutions 7. Participate on the development of user manuals, managements reports and technical documentation JOB Requirements 1. Required:3 to 5 years experience in a Business Analyst role 2. Required: Experience writing application test scripts 3. Required: Experience with migrating large complex applications 4. Required: The ability to multi-task in a demanding role 5. Required: Strong understanding of application, databases and server environments 6. Required: Excellent communications ability (both oral and written) 7. Desired: 2 or more years of Mainframe, Client Server, or Web programming experience 8. Desired: Prior experience in vendor supported/packaged applications 9.
