IBM DB2 XML Programmer

Huntsville, TX

6 months with a possible 1 year extension

Rate:$ 50/hr. on C2C  

Client: Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ)

 

 

Responsibilities

 

. Assist in loading the Texas Path to NIEM schemas and associated NIEM
schemas. 

* Assist in developing processes and procedures for XML data validation. 

* Assist in persisting the XML file and data to the TDCJ DB2 database
structures. 

* Develop processes and routines for XML error handling. 

* Develop Error reports for stakeholders. 

* Assist in developing and applying security processes for the IBM Data
Power Appliance. 

* Make necessary changes to existing Texas Path to NIEM schemas. 

* Develop XML schemas as needed to supplement or complete the existing Texas
Path to NIEM schemas. 

* Develop XSLT style sheets for printing hard copy forms from XML data. 

* Transfer knowledge and skills to TDCJ analyst and programming staff 

 

 

Required Skills

1.       8 or more years in developing XML Information Exchange Packages and
the XML validation processes

2.       3 or more years in developing NIEM XML exchanges 

3.       3 or more years in IBM DB2 data structures and storing XML data
structures in DB2 

4.       2 or more years in the IBM Data Power Appliance to include
installation and implementation of integrated data sharing projects using
the DataPower Appliance 

5.       3 or more years in security procedures for encrypted data and
secured networks

6.       3 or more years in IBM mainframe connectivity requirements
involving DB2 Connect, MVS, CICS and Cobol programs
