Storage System Design Lead:
Principal engineer with 10+ years of experience in electronic system design, including 5+ years of hands-on experience in storage systems design; expertise in HW design and good knowledge of SW design.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead architectural definition of a SAN system
· Lead the system design and implementation by the HW, SW and ME teams
· Lead the system integration, bring-up and validation efforts
Requirements:
Storage Solutions Design Skills
o RAID system architecture
o Direct experience with disk array enclosures
o Good understanding of embedded SW
Hardware Experience
o FC
o PCIe
o SATA/SAS
o DDR/2/3
o RoC – advantage
o µP and cache design
o Design of complex boards with high-speed signals
o Lab bring-up and test
Software Knowledge
o SATA/SAS
o FC
o RAID algorithms
o Embedded SW design
· Clear and concise communication, good documentation
· Ability to lead cross-functional teams, direct individuals and work with geographically split teams
· Ability to travel
· Project management experience - desirable
