Release Manager Required Location-Boston(ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES REQUIRED)
Duration-3-6 months Prferred Qualifications: Experience with IT service delivery procedures including release management, capacity planning, backup & recovery, disaster recovery, and monitoring. Broad knowledge of IT with emphasis on web based applications, integration technologies and distributed computing platforms. Three to five years of technical service delivery/operations experience. Coordination of IT service management processes, with preference for IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Technical Background in J2EE, BEA, SUN Portal, Oracle 8i/9i, Unix, Linux, HTML, XML. Experience with the Unified Process methodology. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with technical resources from multiple organizations and to get the appropriate resources working together in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and changing priorities effectively. Ability to identify and implement technical process improvements. Able to understand and articulate the importance of achieving goals and meeting deadlines. Use logic, experience and intuition to create solutions. Strive to develop own technical and management skills. Understand and communicate knowledgeably about technical issues. Manage time effectively. At least 5 years experience in the IT industry in positions of progressive technical and managerial responsibility. At least 3 years experience in IT project implementation including development and execution of release plans. Experience in an application development environment, with understanding of management of application coding, preferably in Java. Recent experience with coordinating the development and maintenance of web based applications using Application Servers (such as Weblogic or Websphere), J2EE, application integration technologies (such as MQSeries, JMS, Weblogic, SUN, etc.) and underlying infrastructure technologies (Linux, Unix, etc.). Has completed full Application or Systems Development Life Cycle on multiple projects using tools such as Rational Clear Quest and Clear Case. At least 3 years large scale project management or supervisory experience in a large distributed organization. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, handle multiple priorities, and communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
