Job Description: 1. Lead Architect to design a solution to bring the client's private extranet onto the client's public Internet WebSphere platform, integrating the following components: a. User profiling b. Content targeting c. Progressive registration d. Email notifications e. Subscription based content and tools f. Single Sign-on for multiple web applications 2. Assist technical development lead in implementing large scale global web application 3. Establishes the directions, guidelines, best practices in the area of WebSphere portal architecture, design and development 4. Evaluates current state system architectures to ensure that architectures are appropriate 5. Create system architecture document for existing and future solutions Technical Skills: 1. Broad architecture background, development experience, solid understanding of patterns and frameworks. 2. Experienced in designing and delivering large scale web applications for global users. 3. Deep architectural understanding of the J2EE, WebSphere platform and the WebSphere Portal tool. 4. Working experience of Lotus Notes application development and integration with WebSphere portal. 5. Minimum 5 years coding experience with Java, J2EE, Windows/IIS, XML and Web Services, JavaScript, CSS. 6. Strong experience with AJAX, DHTML and Web 2.0 technologies. 7. Experience with WebSphere Portal Factory, portlet to portlet communication, and WebSphere portal integration and presentation services. 8. Experience with RUP and entire lifecycle of WebSphere Portal adoption including the development process, configuration, and production roll out. 9. Knowledge in core technologies, including enterprise platforms, open standards, security frameworks, database, and integration technologies. 10.
