Duration: 1 year

Rate: $55

Location: New York

Availability: immediate

Experience/expertise level: high

This position will need to be well versed in all technical aspects of
ruing a high-growth, e-commerce platform. This includes (but is not
limited to) the implementation of integration points

with outside vendors via web-services, back-end integration into
existing ERP and fulfillment systems, keeping abreast on various
internet-related VI technologies (i.e. AJAX, REST, etc), the willingness
to get your hands dirty if needed (i.e. throwing together a quick page
using scriptaculous, or prototype is not out the question), and being
able to bring a wealth of personal experience with other complex
systems, sites, or architectures to the table.

The specific requirements would be:

1. Past development experience - either within a Java JSP environment or
a LAMP Environment if there was a heavy VI component.

2. JavaScript library usage (i.e. prototype, jQuery, scriptaculous,
etc).

3. Technical Project Management - must have an aptitude for distilling
and Understanding seemingly random and complex tasks into a linear
timeline. Also need the ability to document and explain said tasks to
others.

4. Business Analytics - need to be able to understand and interface
directly with end-users, sponsors, and other business owners to truly
understand what their requests are and to anticipate their needs/wants.

5. Process/Workflow Development - absolutely need the ability to turn
chaotic requests into streamlined processes, and to put structue around
inputs and outputs.

6. Scheduling - always have to have an eye on the overall picture, and
be able to anticipate resource constraints, and creatively work around
these issues.

Nice to haves would be:

1. Working knowledge of the Eclipse IDE.

2. Experience dealing with hosting infrastructure, specifically a 3-tier
application topology.

3. Working knowledge of either Subversion or CVS, and code structure and
organization.

4. Working knowledge of internet design and site creation (i.e. breaking
out the text editor and being able to throw together a table-less layout
from scratch) would be helpful.

5. Problem Solving - this is always important, whether trying to figure
out why an integration point is failing, or why a layout isn't working.

6. Demandware experience - this would certainly be helpful, but not
required.
