I am looking for *Sr.** Database/SDW Consultant* (Need Locals) Please send me the suitable profiles to craviku...@zeninfotech.com *Job Title:* Database/SDW Consultant - Senior level Prefer LOCAL CANDIDATE w/minimal to no expenses. *Work Location:* New York City, NY ,USA Duration: 3 months *Skills:* Teradata Load utilities, linux/unix shell scripting, Stored Procedures , bteq and SQL * Job Description : * - The Database/Scalable DataWarehouse Consultant is one of several customer-facing roles performed by NCR’s Professional Services organization that focuses on delivering data warehouse solutions to customers. - Provides in-depth technical needs analysis, advice, and technical support regarding database configuration and utilization issues. - Responsible for designing database query specifications, database implementation, performance tuning administration and security. - Some have data modeling and data mining skills. - Typically engage in post-sale delivery activities, but may participate in pre-sale activities directly with customers. - Works with relationship database technology in an application development environment (Teradata, DB2, ORACLE, Informix) and data sourcing tools (Visual Basic, Powerbuilder). - A senior level position that typically leads engagement planning and execution of client consulting projects and helps secure new engagements. - Requires technical degree in computer science with a database concentration or related discipline, and 8 to 10 years related experience. *Additional Job Description:** * This consultant will be supporting a relatively new Teradata customer. The customer is in the digital and cable business and is in the process of adding new sources of data to their Teradata environment. The consultant will be working "solo" in Teradata staffing support, so he/she must have strong communication skills and excellent customer facing skills. From a technical standpoint, he/she must possess the following: 1. Solid understanding of Informatica with Teradata Load utilities. 2. Basic linux/unix shell scripting. 3.
