(look for locals or close to the area as F2F) Rate: $30/hr no more SUMMARY: Position provides complete support of database interfaces from development of sql code and extract creation (inbound/outbound) to business requirements gathering as necessary. The ideal candidate would have a technical background with Microsoft SQL database and excellent communications skills. An insurance background is not necessary but would be a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Gathers feedback from design and technical staff on SQL development needs. - Builds user interface applications and back-end databases using various programming and scripting languages. - Authors complex Stored Procedures, SQL Jobs, DTS/SSIS packages, etc... - Be a part of a major mainframe to SQL conversion project acting as the SQL database technical resource and developer. - Assists in project planning and database design. - Creates technical methodologies for engineering solutions to SQL development problems. - Conceptualizes long-term needs of SQL development. - Plan and maintains projects with limited supervision. - Makes suggestions on creating SQL technical standards for DataMarts, dynamic Web sites and the company as a whole. - Other duties may be assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must be familiar with the entire software development cycle and have a minimum of 3 years experience with Microsoft SQL Development. The ability to create complex database architecture, Stored Procedures, Packages, Jobs, etc... Write scripts as needed. Must have working experience developing complex, databases using Microsoft SQL 2000 and/or SQL 2005 and/or SQL 2008. Insurance background a plus. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree (B.
