Please do NOT submit anyone who does not possess all of the skills in the "requirements" section of the job description!!****** *Job Description:* - Drive mobile-related software development and content integration. - Drive application requirements to implementation - Actively work as part of a team of software developers in implementing the required solutions as defined in the specifications and plans - Develop product-level code in various languages, esp. S60 C/C++ and Open C to build the foundation of our mobile components - Strong experience with S60 UI design and implementation - Quickly get-up-to-speed on the existing code base - Closely work with the design team on the user interface components and implement suggested improvements based on user/expert input - Conduct feasibility studies and give feedback about requirement impacts as key domain expert in unit - Proactively consult with head of engineering in identifying and implementing the best technical solutions - Select suitable architectures, implementation technologies, techniques and patterns. Design the implementation and then implement the requirements - Keep documentation up-dated for all components in domain - Deliver software components that always ensure a maximum level of customer and partner satisfaction as part of our overall offering - Take responsibility for overall product quality in domain - Continuously escalate any potential issues, road-blocks and risks and openly discuss any potential issues with the management team to enable early risk management and resource adjustment - Help to recruit and retain a set of world-class software developers with relevant product experience as well as transition existing developers into the new organization - Foster a work environment of openness, complete honesty, trust and integrity - Deliver always on time and on target with exceptional quality at a very high clock speed Success will be measured by timely, high-quality delivery against the product development plan, but more importantly by customer adoption, satisfaction and feedback * Qualifications* - Exceptional technical implementation skills, at least 7 years programming experience. Highly talented and effective coder - Delivered at least one major commercial mobile software product and/or service. - Expert in C/C++, Open C, S60, JAVA MIDP, UI development, application protocols development, Flash and FlashLite. Experience in major scripting languages a plus. Expert in imaging, networking, Internet, TCP/IP, RSS, XML and socket communication-related technologies a plus - Extensive experience in software testing processes and tools (unit/regression testing, integration testing, etc.). Familiar with Sprint/Scrum software development cycles. Familiar with user-centric software design and rapid prototyping methodologies. Experience with documentation tools (Rational Rose, Word, etc.) - Experience in computer/machine vision and camera-based applications on mobile devices - Experience in LBS, mapping, picture management, data mining, database design, web analysis, content tools and mobile programming languages and platforms a strong plus - Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English) required - can translate product requirements and specifications into production quality code and provide clear, concise input to plans - Ability to quickly get involved in unknown areas and draw logical conclusions combined with the ability to make and support sometimes unconventional decisions. Incorporate existing code vs. trying to build everything from scratch - Highest level of integrity and honesty.
