Applications Engineer (Canton, OH, USA) 1.4 year engineering degree or technology degree ( prefers BSEE) 2.3 years minimum experience as application engineer 3.Able to read 1-line diagrams and technical specifications from customers and engineering consultants to prepare bills of material, scope packages and assemble cost estimates to arrive at total cost of sub-assemblies and total project cost. 4.Familiar and preferably proficient using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and multi-worksheet interdependencies. 5.Comfortable with using email and telephone communications to understand and convey requirements. 6.Knowledgeable of switchgear terms such as: a.5kV, 15kV, 27kV and 38kV class switchgear b.Medium Voltage Switchgear c.Metal-clad switchgear construction d.CT’s, PT’s, metering and relaying e. MCC’s and Battery Systems
