Duration: 3 plus years contract My client is investigating a virtual tape backup and recovery solution for its existing HP Non stop s-series. The purpose of this solution is to replace the existing physical tape based archive system. The HP Non stop environment include three 3 HP Non stop s- series system. These systems are comprised of one S7616 located in main data center. The remaining systems, (1) s7406 and (1) 760 are located at regional disaster recovery site. Both sites provide business critical production application support and services, therefore the solution must provide for the backup and recovery of data between the two sites. These sites are connected via two (2) 100 mbps metro Ethernet link. In addition, all data transfers between the sites must includes data deduplication or other network traffic reduction processes. Most important points are: Ø Must fully understand the HP Non stop Guardian OS Ø Must understand and be able to demonstrate data deduplication in both source and post processing methods. Ø Solution must provide for replication of all dedeuplication data between data centers over existing network infrastructure. Ø Must have the ability to create unlimited virtual tape devices.
