UI Developer (Local to Bay Area Only)
*Location: *Menlo Park, CA
*Duration:* 6 months
1. *ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
**
• Functional design and development of *RIA* (internet rich applications),
perform unit testing, enhance application performance, and provide
troubleshooting support using *AJAX, XSL, XSLT, CSS, JavaScript, DHTML and
XHTML* for all major browsers.
• Manage versioning of web assets such as graphics, (X)HTML templates,
JavaScript, and style sheets in the repository; knowledge of source control
systems (CVS or SVN) expected
• Ensure that the code meets the required development standards and is
optimized for faster download
2. PROJECT / TEAM MANAGEMENT**
• Establish & maintain development environment
• Provide status reporting of all tasks on a weekly basis to immediate
managers
• Provide representation of Web Development policies and practices on all
assigned projects
OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: **
• Continually enhance knowledge and expertise, by staying current with
existing and new technologies
MINIMUM/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
**
• Minimum 3 years of professional hands on web experience with a
demonstrated sense of composition and page layout
• Excellent knowledge of (X)HTML and JavaScript
• AJAX, XSLT, and DHTML proficiency
• Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and remote scripting
fundamentals preferred (jQuery in particular)
• Solid practical knowledge of CSS
• Strong understanding of OOP principals
• Knowledge of DOM and DOM functions
• An understanding of electronic image formats
• Highly motivated, detail oriented and extremely organized with proven
ability to establish priorities and execute to achieve results
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, independently and proactively,
quickly and efficiently respond to change
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
