Good communication skills
Detail oriented: able to document and follow detailed instructions within
test cases as well as defect tracking documents (i.e., steps to recreate the
problem)
Understanding of testing concepts and how testing fits in with the overall
project life cycle
Understanding of the technical architecture of the applications
Ability to use multiple applications *(e.g. Quality Center) *and methods to
facilitate the test effort
Able to manage time across various planning and execution tasks


*Role: *
The Test Analyst is a member of the IT UAT testing team. The IT UAT major
phases include planning, constructing, and executing regression and
progression tests included as part of IT UAT, End-to-End and Revenue
Assurance Testing. Specifically, the Test Analyst's responsibilities
include: developing test scenarios, test conditions and expected results,
test cases and the data requirements. Primary focus of the test analyst will
be executing regression and progression test cases during the Execution
Phase. As well the test analyst may be required to create test plans;
developing, updating and maintaining testing standards and procedures;
working with the development and support teams to resolve any issues that
arise out of the testing process; and participating in the release control
process to ensure that solutions meet business requirements. The Test
Analyst reports to the Test Lead.

*Responsibilities: *
Develops test scenarios, test conditions and expected results, test cases,
and input test data for one or more test types, including IT UAT,
end-to-end, regression, RAT. These tests may span across applications or
workstreams.
Develops, updates, and maintains testing standards and procedures.
Executes test cases.
Records defects and issues in accordance with the project's defect
management process.
Works with the development and support teams to resolve any issues that
arise out of the testing process.
Participates in the change control process to ensure accurate estimates are
submitted and that solutions meet business requirements.
Validates product fixes.
Informs the Test Lead of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or
quality of the product or the testing process.
Produces status report and individual time tracking on a weekly basis.
Participates and, in many cases, facilitates test scenario and condition
review sessions with business stakeholders.
Reviews test scenarios, conditions, and cases of other team members and
provide valuable input to improve the quality of these deliverables.
Makes suggestions to improve team processes to facilitate continuous
improvement and efficient test execution.
