Job Title : Network Architect Location : Plano, TX or Santa Clara Duratioin : 6+ Months Requirements * College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or engineering and/or equivalent work experience. * Network vendor Certifications Preferred. (CCIE, CCNA) * Eight plus years of previous architecture experience, across multiple vendor and technologies (Cisco, Juniper, F5, Checkpoint, McAfee) *I n-depth understanding of Network architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices. * Solid experience architecting Network systems within a broad spectrum of technologies. * Excellent knowledge of Cisco, F5 and Juniper network systems. (routers, switches, Load balancers) * Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts and systems. * Excellent knowledge routing protocols BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, Traffic engineering, L2/L3 VPN, multicast & class of service. * Excellent knowledge of WAN acceleration concepts and devices. * Knowledge and experience with ITIL processes. * Knowledge and experience with Architecture development methodology and processes. (TOGAF, Zachman etc.) * Business Requirements Collection and Analysis. * Establish and maintain key relationships with strategic suppliers * Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. * Proven analytical, strategic vision drawing on strong problem-solving abilities. * Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. * Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language appropriate to both executive and managerial audiences. * Ability to conduct research into server, storage, virtualization issues, standards, and products. * Ability to effectively manage relationships with other architecture teams, application teams, stakeholders, business and customer representatives. * Highly self motivated and directed. * Organizational skills with attention to task details, documentation and target dates. * Team orientated, willing to share knowledge and collaborate with peers. * MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio. * Travel may be required. * Flexible work schedule required.
