Job Title: WebSphere Developer Location: Austin, Texas Duration: 3-6 Months Job Description: * The primary goal is to provide IBM RAD 7 / WebSphere development & support for the HHSC Medicaid Contract Administration Tracking System (MCATS.) * The system is new development work, but will be incorporated into an existing production application so some maintenance work will also be required. * The hired resource will work with existing staff as a WebSphere developer on the HHSC Contract Administration Tracking System (HCATS / MCATS) WebSphere / Oracle Application team. * The individual will perform the full scope of development, monitoring, and administrative tasks related to the creation of a STRUTS 1.3.x front-end / WebSphere middle using IBM RAD 7. * The JSPs must comply with accessibility standards. Additionally, this resource will be called upon to assist the currently assigned project staff in the preparation of system and user documentation. Skills/Experience: (6 Yrs) Application development experience involving enterprise-level IT solutions. 4 Web-based application development for both Inter- and Intranet environments. 3 Extensive knowledge of IBM RAD 7 / WebSphere, Java Strong Experience with STRUTS Strong Experience with accessibility standards, such as section 508, and/or JAWS Strong Extensive knowledge of IBM WebSphere, and Sun Java. J2EE Development JDK - (Servlets, JSP, JSF, EJB, JDBC, JMS) and J2EE specifications. Strong Strong understanding and knowledge of the WebSphere/J2EE architecture, EJB, OOD skills, and J2EE integration points with external or third party products. Strong understanding of the MVC pattern STRUTS2 1.X framework Preferences: Skills/Experience Experience with Oracle 9i and above using Stored Procedures, materialized views, and analytic functions Experience within a Health and Human Services Commission Agency desired Experience with NDS security HHSC Agency knowledge Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Portal Knowledge of SOA.
