The qualified candidate is disciplined in current software development and integration technologies and has an aptitude for learning. The applicant must demonstrate strong analysis and communication skills and be prepared to create detailed interface, technical design and support documentation. In this position, the Java Developer works closely with a team of Developers to formulate scalable and extensible solutions. Work responsibilities for this individual will be divided among tasks such as technical analysis, design, development, and documentation with a focus on the implementation and support aspects of development. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or equivalent industry experience • Minimum 5 years experience as developer on multiple large business critical software systems, preferably in a retail environment • Knowledge and experience with large-scale OOD and data architecture. • Extensive experience with Java/J2EE (including JDBC, Servlets, and EJB), XML, and SQL. • Thorough knowledge of Unix, specifically HP/UX, including shell scripting, systems configuration, troubleshooting, and security. • Experience with C++, Crystal Reports, HTML and LDAP desired. • Complex problem analysis and solving skills • Strong communication skills and an aptitude for technical documentation and a command of written and spoken English • Experience with working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Recommended qualifications: • Technologies: EJB, JMS, JDBC, JNDI, Servlets, JAXB, Oracle and XML • Experience with internet presentation technologies (including JSP, HTML, Javascript, etc.) • Familiarity with Sun flavored Unix and Microsoft Windows • Experience with source/version control products (CVS, PVCS, Microsoft Sourcesafe, etc.), release configuration and deployment best practices Regards, -------------------- Srikanth Kondaloyala -- PRUDENT Technologies and Consulting, Inc.
