Job Description:
Recruiting for a QA tester with a development background. Candidate should
be proficient with testing methodologies including Iterative, Waterfall,
RUP, Agile approach. The candidate must be proficient with SQL, PERL, Ksh,
UNIX/LINUX, and messaging technologies preferably TIBCO. The candidate must
have demonstrated programming experience in object oriented languages,
preferably in Java/J2EE technologies. Candidate should posses automation
experience using tools from vendors and open source frameworks. Candidate
should have experience testing web and internet based applications. In
addition, the candidate must have prior experience testing large scale
distributed systems. In addition, the candidate must have prior experience
integrating large systems.

Additional Skills:
Person needs to be able to learn quickly, be self-sufficient, multi-task,
and work well on a team.
Notes from conference call:
. Looking for someone with mostly automation experience
. Will be testing all web-based applications (so they need to know
basic java programming)
. Required Skills: Linux/Unix, Oracle, SQL, Java programming (OO,
J2EE)
o All candidates must be currently using these skills and have 4-6 years
of total experience with each
. Nice to haves: Selenium, FIX, Tibco, Apache, WebLogic, Perl
. This position with be 50/50 programming/testing
. Person may be writing basic shell scripts to look up, parse, and
extract data
. Manager mentioned he wants to do phone interviews this week!!
