We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and pro-active Server
Administrator with an excellent 'can-do' attitude to join our team.  As part
of our infrastructure support team you will be responsible for the design
and administration of production quality application and service
environments. This is a highly technical, hands-on development role for our
state of the art, Web hosted tax Provision and FIN48 software.

 

This is your chance to work for a great company with smart people on a large

Required Qualifications

.           Proficiency with Windows Server 2003/2008 Administraiton

.           Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy and Terminal
Services Administration

.           Proficiency with Citrix XenApp 4.5 and Citrix Secure Gateway
Administration

.           Knowledge of overall networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,
WINS)

.           Must have a strong understanding of best practices for secure
systems design and scalable fault tolerant web architectures

.           Must have prior experience administering web application servers
in a production level environment

.           Must have knowledge of established standards and emerging
technologies 

.           Must be able to work as a member of a team

.           Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Sciences, Information
Technology or Information Systems 

Desired Experience

.           Experience with Linux, specifically Redhat Enterprise Linux 4,5,
and/or SUSE 10,11

.           Experience with Java application servers such as Apache Tomcat &
SpringSource TC Server

.           Experience implementing and maintaining Nagios

.           Experience with load balancing technologies such as Citrix
Netscaler

.           Experience with an Oracle 10gR2, 11 RAC environment

Responsibilities

.           Work with software and server architects to design a scalable,
highly available, production environment 

.           Provide technical insight and develop work estimates to project
planners 

.           Deploy and maintain application services in a production
environment

.           Perform scheduled maintenance (i.e. application and server
hotfixes)

.           Monitor server statistics and scale the environment
appropriately

.           Respond to server/service emergency situations

 

Description 

Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs
patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and
recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure
data integrity. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5
years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with
standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically
reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and
latitude is required.
