*Description:*

*MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:  *

- The Business Analyst will be working for the Alternative Investment
Reporting, Valuation and Planning IT team.

- Will be responsible for specific tactical/strategic deliverable projects
and support of the following systems:

- AI Finance Data Warehouse Reporting Platform

- AI Firm Reporting System

- Expense Tracking and Reporting System

- AI Budgeting / Forecasting System

- AI Portfolio Tracking System

- Responsible for gathering/defining business requirements from clients.
Writing business process documents, system analysis documents, business
requirements document, test cases, testing and contributing to the phases of
software development life cycle.  –

- Be responsible for interfacing with the development team in the
explanation of requirements and will be expected to perform the QA role
during the application testing.



*Common responsibilities include: *

- Working directly with the Project Managers and Business groups to ensure
requirements and goals are correctly understood and documented.

- Producing documentation for business process, system analysis, business
requirement specification, use case models, data and process flow diagrams,
including user/interface design and screen/report mockups.

- Defining detailed test plans, executing test cases, regression testing,
analyzing and reporting test results and maintaining traceability.

- Ensuring current and accurate system documentation across projects
following consistent standards and methodology.

- Issue tracking from start to resolution, maintain effective status
tracking for Audit purpose and provide production support to clients.

- Participating in reviewing analysis, requirements, and design sessions
with the development team.

- Performing pre-release validation including supporting users during the
UAT phase, post-release checkout and compile release notes.

- Participate in the entire SDLC process and ensure all phases and necessary
requirements are met with proper supporting artifacts.

- Maintain constant communication with other team members, project managers
as well as the Singapore team when necessary.

 • Demonstrates thorough working experience in methodologies and standards
for analyzing business and system processes, utilize modeling techniques
including: Data Flow Diagrams, System Diagrams, Process Models, and Use Case
Modeling.

• Extensive experience with producing business requirement and functional
specification documents including user/interface designs and screen mockups.


• Demonstrates strong working knowledge and hands on execution of the system
development life cycle processes and SDLC methodologies.

• Experience with creating and executing test scripts while thoroughly
tracking, analyzing and reporting test results.

• Skilled in analyzing and understanding data of reporting systems from
various sources, performing Gap analysis, and identifying data integration
points, anomalies, and issues.

• Effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across multiple
assignments, and demonstrate accountability and ensure deliverables are met.


• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills while
demonstrating ability to interact professionally with a diverse group across
IT and business teams, various levels of  business managers and subject
matter experts.

• Flexibility and ability to work effectively in an agile development
environment with rapid growth and changing requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, highly organized and detail
oriented.



*Desirable Skills: *

• Experience with Business Reporting Tools such as Crystal Reports, Business
Objects, Excel 2003/2007 Cube Analysis/Pivot Table.

• Experience with application development projects involving MS-SQL,
Microsoft .NET platforms, Web Services, and SharePoint.

•  Exposure to logical and physical database design and understanding ER
diagrams and Dimensional Data Models.

• Experience or exposure to Business Intelligence platforms and data
warehouse technologies.

• Some basic experience in writing SQL and understanding of ETL Development
Tools

• Industry knowledge in Financial Services, Alternative Investment Business,
Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting.
