*Job Title: Classic ASP Developer*
*Location: Lansing, MI*
*Duration: 8+ Months*
*Engagement Overview:*
Administrative Information Services Department (AIS) seeks ASP developers to
assist in development, maintenance, and production support of various record
and financial record systems.
*Basic Job Function:*
The primary role of the contractors will be to contribute in the
development, testing, and production support of systems using classic ASP
and SQL Server technologies. The contractors will work as developers on
projects alongside AIS project managers, technical leads, systems analysts,
and developers.
*Requirement Skills:*
Candidates for these positions must possess the following qualifications:
1. Experience working successfully in a team environment.
2. Excellent communication, business analysis, and design skills to
contribute in requirements gathering and
3. Excellent communication, mentoring, and training skills to contribute
in training and mentoring AIS programmers in the technologies listed below.
4. Excellent skills in incorporating the WC3 Accessibility Standards in
the design of client and AIS application systems.
5. Possess and have experience with the following technologies:
- Classic ASP
- HTML
- CSS
- VBScript
- JavaScript
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005, including
- Basic database design and maintenance
- Stored Procedures
- DTS or SSIS
*Other Considerations:*
Candidates who possess the following skills and capabilities, may receive
preferred consideration:
1. Experience with the following additional skills:
- Client/Server batch scripting (Korn Shell or similar)
- Non-EJB Java (procedural batch programming)
