Job Description: Job Title: Service Portfolio / Catalag Manager
 
ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certified required (Will Only consider & interview 
candidates with Service Catalog experience. We are NOT looking for problem, 
incident and change candidates)
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and energetic service 
portfolio/catalog technical manager with a proven service management track 
record.
This position will require technical expertise in service definitions for BIS 
and in service catalog maintenance and development utilizing HP Service Manager 
7.
The position reports to the Service Improvement Program Manager.
This role will be primarily responsible for the Global Service Definition 
project and services mapping for more than 2,000 BIS applications to build a 
top-level BIS Service Portfolio structure by EOY 2009.
We expect that additional service work will continue to refine the top-level 
service category definition in 2010.
The Service portfolio/catalog manager will be responsible for the service 
definitions, process, governance and overall project delivery by the service 
definition process team.
They will assist in managing communication, awareness, policy, procedure and 
training of the service definitions and catalog offerings.
 
They will engage with clients to define the detailed service descriptions, 
process, and contribute technically to enabling the Service in HP Service 
Manager 7 and other service related processes and tools.
The portfolio/catalog manager will work with BIS development teams, operations, 
senior management and consultants, to develop the BIS Global organization 
service structure.
They will be the SME to the consultants and project teams on daily activities 
to ensure service project delivery is on time, on budget, within scope and with 
quality.
They will support, supervise and direct a work team of internal subject matter 
experts and/or external consultants.
As portfolio/catalog manager, they will be responsible for investigating, 
summarizing, proposing and implementing appropriate service activities to 
support the process improvements for the BIS service improvement programs.
 
The manager will leverage their global IT experience to drive and execute 
service improvement projects to support business and IT objectives. To be 
successful, this role requires the manager to understand the lifecycle of 
applications, tools, and processes of BIS for application development, support 
and operations.  
 
REQUIRED:
Service Management and ITIL Experience -5 years or greater
ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certified required (Will Only consider & interview 
candidates with Service Catalog experience)
Ability to provide technical help in defining the services portfolio & catalog 
for operations infrastructure and/or business service and knows how to craft 
service terminology for business and technical users
Understands relationship of ITIL processes area for Problem, Incident, Change, 
Release, and Service Catalog, and Service Level Management
Understands relationship of ITIL processes area for Financial cost of services 
for charge backs
Plan and manage project execution deliverables according to Project Life Cycle 
Methodology
Minimum Education: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience or ITIL 
certification
Minimum Qualification: 5-10 years experience in related field(s)  
 
 
Qualifying Question:
1. Do you have a minimum of 5 years ''hands-on'' experience with Service 
Management and ITIL?
2. Are you ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation Certified?
3. Do you have specific experience in PLC methodology planning and managing 
project execution deliverables?
