End: 8-9 weeks Hrs/Wk: 40 FYI, Openworks is a legacy data management product from Landmark (a Halliburton company) that is specific to oil and gas. Our project is to upgrade to the newest Landmark technology (product) called R5000. Our requirement is for Openworks at a minimum, with both Openworks and R5000 as an ideal. Details: The Project: a 9 - 10 week BIS Master Plan engagement to produce the Master Plan deliverables for an oil & gas client's upgrade to the R5000 technology Data analyst role: Performs source data readiness analysis and supports the team in production of deliverables Deliverables: 1. Current & desired-state environment / gaps summary An MS Word document containing both narrative and tabular information about the current and future desired state of the client's IM architecture, with detailed gap analysis. Generally organized as follows: . Information architecture - Alignment with business requirements - Data model effectiveness - Data consistency - Information quality . Organization architecture - Data stewardship - End-user support - Project governance - IT development . Technical architecture - Source data systems - Hardware configuration and scalability - Network configuration - Data delivery mechanisms 2. Strawman vision presentation A PowerPoint presentation that documents the proposed end-state vision, strategy & roadmap. It describes the initial Master Plan approach based on the results of the business and technical track activities. Generally follows this structure: . Business need & value summary . Future state vision & strategy - Information architecture - Organization architecture - Technical architecture . Initial recommended roadmap & program phasing . Initial business justification (value statements) 3. Master Plan A detailed PowerPoint presentation document regarding methods, findings and recommendations associated with the Master Plan initiative. Generally covers the following outline: . Project overview . Current-state summary . Recommended long-term technical architecture . Technology scope and capacity requirements . Organization and process considerations - Data stewardship and governance - IT development and user support - Training . Identification and explanation of project phasing (roadmap) 4. Executive Summary A presentation designed to give a high-level overview of the Master Plan process, findings and recommendations which commonly covers the following points: . Master Plan initiative summary . User requirements summary . Long-term vision - Information architecture - Organization architecture - Technical architecture . Recommended initiative phasing (roadmap) . Potential benefits and areas of risk . Detailed timing and cost estimates 5. Planning documents (detailed planning documents in various formats) . Project plan - A high-level plan for the full client R5000 Program reflecting the general strategy and roadmap - A detailed project plan (at a task level of detail) for the first phase (Phase 0) of the recommended roadmap v The detailed plan and estimates for Phase 1 are generated during delivery of Phase 0 . Project team - An organization diagram with supporting roles and responsibilities .
