Has in-depth knowledge of operating systems, relational databases and network infrastructures as it relates to field support and systems related technical expertise . Assists in setup and installation of peripheral gaming systems equipment such as server hardware and test labs . Participates in multiple projects to plan, test and install the equipment, network systems and software . Maintain the approved patch and service pack levels on all Microsoft and Marathon products. . Technical Support Consultant will schedule training and time off directly with the site. . Maintain the VPN solution provided by the client for remote access (if utilizing a client provided VPN solution). . Has advanced knowledge of client Systems Products . Ability to lead complex projects Perform the following daily duties: * Assist the sites with any agreed upon and documented configuration changes. * Document all of the reported issues at the site with the client Global Support Center. * Monitor the performance of the system and recommend changes as necessary to maintain optimal system performance. * Meet with the site management to determine other needed support or maintenance activities. Perform the following weekly duties * Review the server event viewer logs for potential errors. * Review the Advantage application logs for potential errors. * Verify that the proper backup jobs are completing successfully. * Verify that all database jobs are completing successfully. * Review drive space availability and advise the site on the current status. * Make any approved changes to maintain optimal performance. * Verify that the archive routines are running and successful where applicable. * Perform weekly system preventative maintenance tasksclient Perform the following monthly duties: * Analyze and chart the growth of the Advantage system databases. * Advise the site on any possible future storage needs. * Conduct monthly meeting with the site and Account Management to discuss the status of the system and any outstanding support issues.
