Requirements - Experienced Application Developer to build applications and components in Global Sales Technology CRM/Metrics team - Global Sales Technology is responsible for technology across all Equity and FICC sales desks in the Securities Division globally. - We are looking for a senior software engineer to join our CRM/ Metrics team. - The Application Project Lead will be responsible for working as a part of software development team on CRM and Revenue Reporting. - The IT team is currently based in New York, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and India and all members of the team work closely with business users globally in eliciting end-user requirements all the way through to the analysis, design, implementation and rollout of new solutions. - The team is closely aligned to the business units it supports having considerable interaction with front office Sales professionals, Sales Management and Technology teams. - This is a hands-on role that will require independent work with users to gather requirements and develop web-based applications using Java based technologies. Principal Responsibilities: Development: Hands-on application development (60%) Functional and Technical Analysis/Design (20%) Testing: Follow Test Driven Development guidelines to perform Functional QA testing and manage User Acceptance testing (10%) Production On Call Support: As a part of team rotation, perform 2nd level (24*7) production support (5%) Release Mgmt: As a team member would be supporting product releases on weekends couple of times every quarter. (5%) Experience And Skills Must have - 8-10 years of application development experience with multi-tier architectures Experience working with industry leading application servers (Tomcat, Jboss) including JMS Proven ability to analyze and understand business requirements and build technical solutions to complex business problems - Strong experience in Financial Services IT, proven ability to interact and build strong relationships with users - Strong OO Analysis and Design Patterns experience - Strong database skills, preferring experience with Sybase (12.5 / above) or DB2 (8.x/9.x) - Solid experience with web technologies such as Struts, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, JSPs. Nice to Have Institutional Sales CRM experience Revenue Reporting experience Experience with low latency and high thru-put applications Experience with Data Warehousing and ETL tools such as Informatica Proficiency creating prototypes with commercial software /tools (e.g. Photoshop, Visio, HTML, etc).
