ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Translate end user requirements into value added test cases. Creation & execution of acceptance and system test cases. Creation and verification of detailed Change Requests Reporting and tracking of test results Lab planning and setup Participate in knowledge transfer training. Duplication and associated investigation of escalation field issues. Interface with Technical Support, Development and Product Management during trouble investigation. Working knowledge of Basic electrical power management and distribution and use of PDUs in a data center environment Extensive user experience with Linux including command-line tools, network configuration, software installation, and performance profiling. SW tool experience: o ssh/scp/rsync o postgresql console o cvs o Eventum o perl/bash scripting o HP test tools suite o Open Source test tools such as TestLink, etc o SNMP management Design and implement software automation techniques to improve test execution, reliability of test results and improve overall time to market. Ability to create and execute load, stress test, and perform automated testing for web and / or client server applications. Understanding of System Test best practices as well as the dynamics of the entire project lifecycle. Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and technical skills. Accountability and the ability to multi-task/manage changing priorities. Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Experieince with Agile developmement methodology Team player REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field. 5+ years hands on system test activities experience of products in a Linux, Windows, Java, C++, web-based environments Experience developing system-level test plans and procedures for requirement based testing activities Experience with Eclipse, Selenium IDE and TestNG Experience with defect tracking systems (e.g. Bugzilla, Eventum, GNATS) Experience with LAN/WAN networking technologies/protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, SNMP) Five years testing experience in process controlled development environment (CMM, ISO,) DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Familiarity with XML formatting and editing. Familiarity with SNMP querying.
