Location: *King of Prussia, PA* Duration: 6 months ** *Minimum Requirements:* The right candidate is a sharp QA Resource (NOT JUST A TESTER) who has tested client Statements and is coming out of an *Investment Banking or Brokerage House. *They will ONLY hire people who understand how the testing piece fits inside the investments world - basically a QA with some Business Analysis knowledge in order to understand the business piece...but this is a pure statements testing role (not a BA) Manual or Automated Testing - doesn't really matter. *MUST HAVE INVESTMENT BANKING EXPERIENCE !!* Minimum Requirements: Looking for a *Senior QA tester* who can test Statements (these would be financial client statements for their customers), they should be a bit more technical in nature, comfortable with a large database and SQL queries. They make sure the “meat” of the Statement works. *MUST HAVE* prior experience in handling *client reports* and *statements*. *MUST KNOW* how *different transactions should be reported to clients*. *MUST HAVE* general concepts around *investment banking and investment processing* They will need to be familiar with testing Statements but should also be aware of most of the processing that takes place before a transaction hits a statement. They would need some exposure to the trading process and how it works and what happens in it, as well as testing statements. Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements. *Description:* Overall Responsibility: To ensure the quality, reliability and completeness of software developed via the application of standard SQA practices. To develop software test plans, organize and lead the testing activities for new and existing releases. Define, implement and/or lead process improvements that will improve overall efficiency and software quality. Develop component, integration and system test scenarios and scripts for software and/or work with Technical Leads and BAs to design and implement test scenarios, including creation of test data required to drive test scenarios. Scoping / Define Phase Participates in high level planning sessions Participates in the review and validation of project plans for each iteration Design Participates in design sessions with business leads, BA's and Technical Leads Attends and contributes feedback during design reviews Development Researches and provides data requirements needed for all phases of testing in a timely manner Provides updated estimates for completion of Test scenarios and scenario reviews Creates test scenarios and initiates reviews with BA's and Technical Leads Provides updated estimates for completion of Test scripts and script reviews Creates test scripts and initiates reviews with BA's and Technical Leads Assists in the prioritization of the assignment of tasks as they relate to defect tracking and reporting Day-to-day management of work assignments for QA testers Responsible for achieving delivery of QA related milestones once project plan is agreed upon. Identifies and escalates issues that impede progress of testing - resources constraints, requirement gaps, technical issues, etc. Coordinates testing efforts with off-shore teams Test Phases Participates in and / or is responsible for the testing efforts throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle Participates in and / or manages the tracking and reporting of defects or issues and the escalation of Showstopper, Critical and High items Works with Tech Lead resource(s) to address issues arising during component, integration and system test cycles Insure defects are assigned in a timely fashion Insure defects are addressed in alignment with severity descriptions Insure proper status updates in defect tracking tool Coordinates troubleshooting and interaction with other teams General Proven self-starter with track record of setting goals and delivering results Responsible for managing the hand-offs and flow of information, design documents and code between team members locally and off-shore Interacts with QA Management team to address staffing needs and any specific resource issues Suggests and implements process improvements for Quality Assurance and testing processes Provides weekly summary of accomplishments, issues and work planned for the next week Works with Quality Assurance team to insure Track and QA project plans are accurately updated each week.
