Roles: The QA Analyst will be a member of the Global Hub project team, working on Quality Assurance and coordination of User Acceptance Testing of the Global Hub platform and on technology needed to integrate the platform with other United systems or selected external Vendors. This is a new platform, requiring rigorous testing with a variety of parties. The QA team involves members from both North America and India, working together to confirm the Production readiness of the technology platform. The design is expected to be a multi-tiered web architecture, using SQL Server for data storage. Working with various members of the Global Hub team, the QA Analyst will develop test strategies for each module and business process to be supported and will work with the Development team through the elimination or mitigation of all bugs prior to launch of the environment. Due to the iterative design process, each module is expected to go through a 2nd phase of feature adjustment, in a 2nd phase of the project, requiring modification of the test plans and re-execution. The Global Hub is being developed using agile, modular techniques so will be changing rapidly as the year progresses. It is important that a candidate be comfortable with this iterative, modular approach. A technical writer will be available to assist with documentation of test plans and the like, to facilitate cohesive documentation. Since there will be multiple QA Analysts involved in this project, all with similar skills, there is an expectation that the members will be assigned new work based on availability, not on prior knowledge of a specific domain. It is important that this approach be comfortable to the candidate. The QA team will be split with some members offshore in India, so collaboration with colleagues in different time zones is an expectation for the project.
