Client: AIG Location: New York, NY Duration: 10 months Max Rate: 43/hr. on c2c MUST HAVE: JSF, SOA, RAD, WEBSPHERE, DATA MODELING AND PVCS AND FINANCIAL/ACCOUNTING.. DO NOT SUBMIT UNQUALIFEID CANDIDATES To be classified into this level, the candidate should be a proficient Java programmer with strong knowledge of the Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE / J2EE) platform. The candidate must be capable of designing and implementing new and/or modifying existing web application software following best coding practices that will result in a maintainable, reusable and scalable product that can be efficiently transitioned. Experience must include JavaScript/DHTML, HTML, XML/XSL/XSLT, JSP, EJB, JSTL, JDBC, Servlets and AJAX, CSS etc. The candidate should have a good understanding of Model View Controller (MVC) architectural and design patterns. Knowledge and/or experience with Java Frameworks such as JSF, Struts or Spring is a plus, though Struts and Spring are not used here. This would include understanding the technical characteristics involved including rapid development, transaction handling, and scalability. The candidate should be familiar with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design, which includes knowledge of Web Services and asynchronous transactions using Queue messaging. He or she must have experience with a Java IDE like Rational Application Developer (RAD) or WebSphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD). Additionally, he or she should have experience or a good knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, HTTP Servers on Solaris and Windows platforms. The candidate must have knowledge of data modeling and table normalization, and should be capable of developing stored procedures, packages, views and queries in Oracle or SQL Server The candidate should be familiar with Version Control tools like PVCS, CVS and change management process. The ideal candidate would have some working knowledge in financial/accounting domains and have strong analysis and user interface skills. Strong written communications, documentation, and/or spec writing skills would also be a plus.
