* * Position: Sr Business Analyst Work Locations: Ashburn, VA Project Name: Business Intelligence and Analytics Position Description & Responsibilities:* The Business Analyst with background in Business Intelligence/Data Mining. * Scope of Work Detail and Roles and Responsibilities: Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for assisting with scoping and helping estimate business level tasks related to a data mining effort, helping create and consolidate databases, applications and reports, and overall help in preparing for a business case review. Will assist in building the key data repositories, help in business requirement writing, assist in refining tasks and hours, and data mapping as needed. This will include working with the project team as well as cross functional teams across the company including Finance, Sales, Marketing & Network. Represents the business needs by defining the requirements, including cube/report definition, conversion and data cleansing rules. Designs changes to screens and reports, if needed Develops user system documentation and provides appropriate user training Assists, as necessary, with installation and verification of the system changes. Develops overall implementation plan with input from I.T. Analyst and others on team *SKILLS/Requirements:* *MSOLAP, Data mining, reporting tools experienc*e. Facilitation and management skills with the ability to manage small teams. *Data mapping expertise*. Excellent process documentation skills are required. Ability to multi-task, work independently and manage unstructured tasks within specific guidelines and time constraints. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
