Business Systems Analyst. The application to be implemented is CML (contract management lifecycle). This is a single repository for all contracts being generated. The application is designed in a workflow model where by users enter metadata onto a web based screen. As they complete stages of the contract development, they are passed through various stages in the workflow that trigger approvals and collaboration. The system holds all the standard language for customer contracts whereby the users actually generate the paper (word document) that is sent to the customer for signature. The application is currently rolled out in 2 areas North America and APJ.
The scope of this project: 1. Technical Upgrade - moving to a new version of the application. 2. Adding additional functionality to the current system in North America and APJ. This includes a. Additional fields b. Additional business process Day to Day function of this contractor role: By the time this person gets on boarded we will be approaching the end of development. Their primary role would be to help shake out the development for the enhancements, the upgrade and regression testing. This person would be engaged in the testing phase as 1) point of contact for helping users 2) perform testing based off test scripts 3) work with development and other team members to resolve any defect raised. Post QA they will helping to finalize details for deployment as well as be involved with deployment tasks. There will be a 2 week super care period where they will help monitor user questions and issues. Required skill set required for the project - 3-5 years business analyst experience in the IT area; their experience should include soliciting business requirements and detailing them into business designs, functional specification, use case scenarios and business process design documents. They should be able to build use case scenarios from design documents for QA validation. They need possess a high level of quality assurance abilities. They should be able to analyze issues to determine root cause for proper remediation. Ad hoc testing skills is desirable. Good communications skills to work across various areas of the business which include business users, developers and management. This person would need to be a quick learner with the ability to learn new applications quickly. They should have good problem solving skills, have good communication skills, can work both independently and with a team. This person will take an active part in QA testing, work with business users during testing to validate defects, communicate with developers to get defects resolved and retested. During deployment they will be required to be available for check out and any other deployment related tasks that come up for a successful roll out.
