Sr System Analyst Location: San Fran , CA Duration: 4 months Rate: $45-50 hr. C2C AI As part of the Shield Advance program, BSC is in the process of replacing our backend membership and claims systems while moving to a services oriented architecture. IT Channel Solutions is looking for a Systems Analyst who will assist with IT Readiness work for BlueshieldCA.com Web and Voice Channels and Employer Portal (CWS). Job responsibilities include: • The System Analyst’s focus will be on the ITIL Service Transition process group, including Capacity & Performance Management, Availability Management, Application / System Monitoring, Release Management, Security / Access Management and IT Service Continuity. • Review current processes / procedures for each application in each process area. • Document findings and generate action items (for existing procedures) or recommend solutions. • Gather and provide updated information to process area owners, as needed. • Assist with implementation of new processes and procedures. • Assist with simulations. Position Requirements: • Understanding of typical IT Operations Support models. • ITIL experience, (desired but not required.) • Experience in any of the following areas (desired but not required) : Capacity & Performance Management, Availability Management, Application / System Monitoring, Release Management, Security / Access Management and IT Service Continuity. • Understanding of Web technologies and solutions. • Experience defining and documenting business & IT policies, processes and procedures. • Able to make technical information understandable to a non-IT audience and vice-versa. • Experience documenting existing systems and conducting gap analysis for future state. • In-depth knowledge of fundamental information gathering concepts, practices and procedures. • Motivated, self-starter who can work independently with minimal oversight and direction. • Solid experience resolving business issues following formal and ad hoc processes. • Experience working with IT and Business team members in a matrixed environment. • High attention to detail.
