*Position: ETL/BI Testing Lead* *Length: 3-6 months*
*Location: NC, Morrisville/Charlotte * * * Preferred Skills: Education/Certifications: Bachelors Degree/Masters in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience *5 -7 years* of Testing experience with *2-3 years* of ETL/BI testing experience *Job Description*: The Onsite lead will perform onsite/offshore co-ordination for Test Strategy, test planning, Technical resolution, and quality assurance/Testing for BI and ETL related projects. In addition to the above, retail domain experience will be a plus. *Required Skills:* 1. Good Oral and written communication skills 2. Good customer handling skills 3. Good understanding of Onshore-offshore delivery model 4. Understanding of SQL in accessing and manipulating data in teradata Databases. 5. Reviews and analyzes source data, analyzes and documents data flows, and validates mapping specifications and business rules from data source to target. 6. Develops SQL queries/scripts and similar artifacts to validate the completeness, integrity and accuracy of data within an ETLprocess testing cycle. 7. Understands the business intelligence of data warehousing environments including technologies and processes across data sourcing, validation, reconciliation, and related ETL functions; data warehouse and data mart performance as well as front end reporting tool(Microstrategy) performance. 8. Perform Data Analysis and develop Data Mapping documents for ETL projects. Contribute to the analysis of data requirements and development of logical data models. 9. Good understanding on testing principles and concepts. 10. Develops test scenarios and scripts that match the business users objectives to confirm system functions are met. 11. Participates in test planning and development of test cases. Works with IT Development to ensure feasibility of design and clarify user requirements. Develop and execute testing related activities, including test plans, test case or results analysis; coordination of testing activities, diagnosis of application or process deficiencies and/or problems.
