We have a hot opening for....... Job Title: Sr. SQL Server Developer Location: Houston, TX Duration: 6 Months Client is looking a SQL Developer - not a BI or ETL Developer or SSIS Developer. Need really strong T-SQL and table design!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The position of SQL Server Developer will effectively work with members of our finance and IT teams to gather information from disparate systems, consolidate that data into a meaningful structure, and present that information to end users either in report or database table format. Sound RDBMS table design for reporting and sourcing a SQL Server Data mart. Development of T-SQL programs to modify and process data in a SQL Server 2008 database. Design documentation prior to development. Unit testing prior to delivery of all modifications to supervisor or business. Documentation of developed processes and existing processes as required. Work to be completed according to the client's practices for source code control, testing, approval, and code migration. Understanding of Oracle RDBMS (including PL/SQL programs) to assist in supporting existing applications on a day-to-day basis. Possess very strong T-SQL and database design using Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008. 5 or more years of experience using SQL Server database technologies including, but not limited to: All table types, Index optimization, Constraint development, View development, Functions, and Procedures, Be self-motivated to produce quality, detail oriented database objects and documentation. Demonstrate the ability to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision. Possess skills to analyze business requirements and identify gaps during design phase. Have skills and discipline using Microsoft Word and Visio, Beneficial: Experience with or understanding of Hyperion Essbase 6 or higher, Experience with Tidal Enterprise Scheduler, Experience in the retail industry, especially as it relates to the needs of retail finance and accounting departments.
