Job Title -Network Engineer
Project location- Portland, ME
Duration – 6+ months
Job requirements:
As a Network Engineer, this person will be responsible for assisting
Networking Operations and related infrastructure services on a regional and
global perspective. As an experienced resource, your responsibilities will
include defining best practices, leading design and architecture,
engineering implementation and support activities. This position will
provide expert operational, administrative and project support of a complex
enterprise voice experienced data Network infrastructure.
Required Skills:
Technical expertise with circuit activations and migrations along with
updating network related documentation (network diagrams and database).
Vendor management.
Implementation plan creation and troubleshooting skills for network layers
1-3. Project updates. Excellent verbal and written skills
To assist in supporting the MPLS conversions for the Intranet and Extranet
and any other -split- related network functions as required
Cisco Certified network Administrator (CCNA) and/or Cisco Certified network
Professional (CCNP) is desired
3-5+ years of day-to-day network technical support experience which includes
working with customers, project managers, client managers and other
departmental managers
Cisco Routers
Cisco Switches
Sniffer Traces and Interpretation
Cisco VPN Concentrators
Frame Relay Circuits / MPLS Circuits
Knowledge of Firewalls and TCP Ports
TCP/IP Troubleshooting and Problem Analysis
OSPF, RIP, BGP and EIGRP Routing Protocols
Interaction with multiple Telco Carriers and Account Teams (vendor
management)
VoIP / QoS Configurations
Excellent verbal and written skills
