Employment Type: Contract Duration: 6 months City: San Francisco State: CA * * Description: ------------------------------ Full Description: Role Description - Deeply skilled Cognos architect needed to re-architect the framework layer of a Cognos based operational reporting solution - Analyze existing framework and remediate solution for maintainability, scalability - Work closely in conjunction with client business intelligence architect - Reporting support retail merchandising system implemented in the UK and planned for Italy, Canada, and China Qualifications - Experienced in RDBMS fundamentals o Different join concepts o Performance and query optimization o Advantages and disadvantages of simple/materialized view - Experienced in Cognos Modeler (Framework Manager) o Cognos 8.2 o Resolving join issues (many-to-many, fan trap etc.) o Joining different grain transaction (fact) tables with conformed tables.
