We have an immediate requirement for our direct client: Title: Oracle 11G DBA Location: Chicago, IL Duration: 12+ Months Rate: $35/Hr on C2C Max Positions: 2 The client is looking for an Oracle 11G DBA with experience in TECHNICAL SKILLS - Oracle 11G RAC - ASM - Dataguard - Flashback databases - Oracle Grid Control - Red Hat Linux - Sun Solaris - VMWare ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Install and configure Oracle 11G RAC Database with CRS and ASM, on virtual servers spread over physical machines hosting Linux and Solaris OS. - Assist the application group to create, configure and migrate applications and databases from non-RAC to RAC environment. - Configure database backups using RMAN, Data Pump, Export/Import. - Enable Oracle Grid Control monitoring of databases. - Establish Flashback databases per requirements. - Create DR databases suitable for the application environment - Document and carry out Disaster Recovery testing for databases. - Document and perform High Availability testing for databases. - Document and perform cloning procedures for RAC databases with ASM installations. - Participate in performance testing, load balancing and tuning efforts of the database, and document recommendations. - Participate in production go-live activities, and post go-live operational support.
