Position Hyperion Planning/Essbase Architect

Location San Diego, US

FTE / CTH / Vendor

Duration 3-6 months and then extendable

Minimum Experience / Relevance


7-8 Yrs Exp in Essbase/Planning/Reporting 6/7/9/11

Should have technical background with 3-4 years of  Architecture experience
in Essbase/Planning. People Management knowledge should be a must.

Can leverage best practices from previous implementation experience and
provide solutions to address various business requirements

Skills (Mandatory)
 Essbase, Planning 6/7/9/11 (specially for Hyperion 11.1), Financial
Reports, Interactive Reporting, Oracle Pl/SQL, Essbase/Planning 9.3
Certified

Skills (Optional)
 Web Analysis, DIM, HFM, FDM

Roles & Responsibilities
 Work directly with BI program managers and/or with functional users to
identify, analyze reporting requirements, translate them into
DB/ETL/Reporting design specifications documents, with details on the
approach to address and resolve the business needs.
Own and Design the Application Outline and various processes
Review and Suggest changes to Data models
Accountable for end to end design on DB/ETL/Reporting requirements by owning
the design phase of the project
Work closely with the development teams during the development phase of the
project to ensure:
-          Proper standards and processes are followed

-          Design in fact meets the requirements CTQs

-          Proper unit/integrated test plans are written and tested

-          Migration checklist is prepared

Project Management & people management exp
database design and build
database optimisation
build rules/ load rules
calc script development
EssCmd/MaxL Scripting
Security/administration
5 years' working experience in Hyperion Essbase application design and
development, focusing on ASO and BSO combination, partitions along Shared
Services
Energetic and keen to taking technical challenges to explore new areas.
Functional and technical experience in Hyperion Planning and Budgeting
Equipped with financial knowledge in budgeting, cost allocation, reporting
and forecasting
Technical documentation.
Exposure to Finance Department or ledger systems
Excellent problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills,
Structured, methodical thinker
Full understanding of project life cycle and development methodologies
Ability to work in synergy with multiple teams of developers and business
partners is highly essential.
Mature outlook and upholds high standards of professional integrity.
