Title: Web Application Developer Location: Hillsboro, OR Duration: 6 Months The consultant should be USC or GC or EAD Summary/Description of Position • The Web Application Developer is responsible for developing web applications to support the materials management, order planning and execution team within the Hillsboro manufacturing facility. • Primarily, applications are developed in the Ruby on Rails framework, and connect to our MySQL/ databases. Primary Duties • Work with business staff and management team to plan and design web applications • Develop web applications, and maintain existing applications • Formulate and execute on plans to enhance existing applications • Manage deployment and implementation of web applications • Secondary duties include: Creation and management of recurring business intelligence reports Preferred Knowledge and Skills • BRIO experience Required Knowledge and Skills • Technical expertise in web application development • 2-3+ years Ruby on Rails development experience • Solid foundation in object oriented programming • Experienced with web application development patterns - HTML and CSS coding experience • Javascript development experience preferred; AJAX experience • ORACLE or MYSQL database experience • UNIX or LINUX experience • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Positive, results oriented attitude, high productivity • Ability to effectively address and resolve ambiguity • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently • Self-starter capable of learning "on-the-fly". • Proficiency with desktop productivity tools (e.g. spreadsheets, text documents) Typical years of Relevant Experience: 5+ year’s professional experience designing and developing software applications, with at least 3 years experience with web application development Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree Field of Study: Technical, Computer Science or Other Related Thanks & Regards Monty Singh Technical Recruiter Ask IT Consulting You Ask We Deliver!
